in a big fish tank
I don't expect events
to conform to my wishes –
I just thought I'd learned how to get by

forced time into a new profile –

This big old bear
crashed out of the woods
grizzled into town
and ate the puppies

Angel in the sweet shop
sang him melodies
made him cry
eased his gnawing teeth

She was young
heavenly
knew not the ways of Bruno

He growled his way
back into the forest
plucking up a couple sheep for supper
