Reason

It's raining
and for reasons of their own
28 Canada geese
are standing on one leg
in a line
on the edge of the lake

A man
with a limp
and a stick
and a smile
shoos away 11 of them

They congregate into a flock
go paddling

Yep

it's all out there today
just odd moments of connection

Not complaining
Sat here in the sun
Almost asleep

Boy walks past playing air drums
I think I spotted earphones

The other day
a man in the street was talking, hand on ear,
like he was on Bluetooth
but with no Bluetooth
just up the road from the hospital
