I Went On a Package Holiday for 2 Weeks

and one by one
this psychiatric nurse
went through us
one day each
every time accompanied
by bad mouthed backstabbing
regarding the previous

By the end of 14 days
she'd done us all
and went home
on her own

I dug out a black and white photo
from 40 years ago – not colour
I'd developed it myself

How long were we together?
3 years?
Not long, not now –
but back then we really packed it in –
didn't sit around watching the months fly by

I think I am mentally ill
I'm on the kitchen floor            again
me and the fan heater

It's been hours
staring at the floor tiles –
very interesting cracks
